Jackson County Health Department executed it’s first countywide test with remarkable results. Ms. Wendy Barnette said that she was in the process of evaluating the data and intends to present the results to the County Commission in the near future. She hopes to bring all of the Jackson County Emergency Agencies together to collaborate in a joint effort to maxium her health departments purchase of the WARN public notification product.

Jackson County Heath Department begins using W.A.R.N. Broadcast for public notification

Ripley, WV — The Jackson County Health Department has made the decision to implement the W.A.R.N. broadcast system for their notification solution.  After the purchase the Department of health were trained at their Ripley Location. Ms. Wendy Barnett stated that the system will give her health department the ability to notifiy a broad range or tightly defined area of the county about public health needs.

They are currently in discussions with the Jackson County 911 officials on how to use the WARN system for other emergency notifications unrealted to health. Congradulations to the Health Department in stepping forward in the quest to protect the community by rapidy notifying them via telephone.
