An EMERGENCY PLANNING, BUSINESS CONTINUITY AND DISASTER RECOVERY Seminar was sponsored by the West Virginia Bankers Association on November 13th, 2007 at the Days Inn in Flatwoods, West Virginia. FEMA Announces Private Sector NIMS Implementation Activities

The National Integration Center (NIC) Incident Management Systems Division recommends1 12 activities for the private sector that support NIMS implementation.В В  These activities closely parallel the implementation activities that have been required of State, territorial, tribal, and local governments since 2004.В В  Effective and consistent integration of the NIMS across Federal, State, territorial, tribal, and local governments and the private sector will result in a strengthened national capability to prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from any type of incident.В
